What to Expect on the Day of Preservation Breast Augmentation Surgery

Now comes the best part! Your preservation breast augmentation will take place at our office in Scottsdale. You will go over your goals, identified areas, and recovery steps before giving the thumbs-up to proceed.

The surgery begins with administering general anesthesia, so you are asleep and relaxed without the ability to feel pain. While you are asleep, Dr. Golger will make a small incision along the marked lines under the natural breast crease, creating a pocket for the implant. After both of the implants have been placed and secured, Dr. Golger will close the incisions with sutures. He will wrap a compression garment or supportive bra around you to keep your implants in place.

The anesthesia will then be stopped, and you will slowly wake up from the surgery. You will feel groggy and disoriented for a few hours, so someone must be available to pick you up and take you home, where you can recover under their watch. You can expect to be in and out of the surgery in no more than 1 to 2 hours.
